Meridian explores a regional campus with three parallel computing halls and a connected two-story administrative spine. Pale mineral concrete, brushed metal and copper-toned shade fins establish an identity that belongs to the Arizona landscape while setting this campus apart from our compact Relay and larger Horizon studies. A daylit double-height reception, a more substantial operations environment and a sheltered staff courtyard are sized for this middle-scale brief—not repeated from another project. Arrival, support spaces, landscape and the industrial envelope are considered together as one full-design vision. The proposal is an original TSD study intended to open a design conversation with SpaceX; its siting, systems and development feasibility remain illustrative.

Independent Arizona Design Proposal
KOLD’s November 5, 2026 report describes a SpaceX-hosted community meeting about a proposed data center near the Apache Generating Station. County application SU26-22 identifies Tombstone Resources L.L.C. as the applicant. The county lists an approximately 747-acre proposal with up to nine computing buildings, subject to review—not an approved development.
Relay, Meridian and Horizon are TSD’s original alternative scale studies. They are not three announced SpaceX projects, a reproduction of the filed site plan, or a commissioned design package.
Our proposed role connects the campus identity, arrival sequence, interiors, materials and landscape into one coordinated design vision. The operations team’s everyday experience matters as much as the first impression: clear wayfinding, practical support spaces and a workplace shaped around the scale of the facility.
Development would require a site-specific brief and qualified architecture-of-record, engineering and specialist teams. Power, cooling, water demand, acoustics, ecological impacts, security and permitting must be studied and validated. Illustrative equipment and layouts do not establish technical performance or regulatory compliance.
